BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION
While the tree and its leaves may look similar to the common mango tree, its fruits ripen to an orange-brown, with white flesh.
HABITAT
Native to peninsular Malaysia, Sumatera, and Borneo, though found further afield in Philippines, Thailand, and Java.

Sweet binjai are eaten as is, while the sour varieties are eaten with sambal (chilli paste) or pickled with salt to be eaten with fish.
